Leak Detection Services

On top of our other services, we can also find out if your pool has a leak or not. A leak can be very costly, so if you suspect you have one, please let us check so that we can save your pool from damages. If you're not too sure whether you have a leak or are just having natural evaporation occur in your pool, take a look at these Frequently Asked Questions to the right, and we will walk you through an easy way you can tell if it is pool evaporation or a leak.

1Is it just water loss or Evaporation?
Pools normally lose 1/4 inch of water per day. Normal water loss can occur because of splashing, swimming activity, and even pets getting in and out of the pool.
2 How do I determine if I might have a leak in the pool system?
Any visible water around the equipment, signs of deck movement, tiles popping off, spots of soggier ground around pool, signs of water damage, visible cracks, return lines blowing dirt into pool, constantly refilling pool, higher than normal water bill.

Use the Bucket Test:

1) Place pool into service mode and turn pumps and equipment off.
2) Fill pool to normal level.
3) Fill a 5 gallon bucket 2/3 full and place in the pool.
4) Mark the water level of the pool on the outside of the bucket.
5) Mark the bucket's water level on the inside of the bucket.
6) Measure the water levels in the pool and the bucket after 24 hours.
7) If the pool has lost more water than the bucket, you may very well have a leak.
8) You can also repeat the above steps with the equipment running for 24 hours. This can be an indication of a leak in the pool's plumbing.

If this test shows a more than normal loss of water, Call Us to Find the LEAK!
